Our Little Free Library

What is amazing about our Little Free Library is that it was a student-led idea. The idea developed into a wish that blossomed into a Little Free Library at Copper Canyon Elementary School.



How It All Started

Melissa Wiegand, a teacher at Copper Canyon Elementary School, read an article about The Little Free Library to her students. Immediately following the story, the students said, "We should do this!"  With the guidance of Mrs. Wiegand, the students began the process of creating a Little Free Library.

 

Making a Wish Come True
The students wanted to create a Little Free Library and with a lot of collaboration and hard work, it has now come to be.

Since the completion of our Little Free Library, we have been published in a local newspaper, as well as received recognition from the Paradise Valley Unified School District and the Little Free Library organization.  Check it out on the News and Media page.
